SunTek Carbon CXP is an upgrade from Carbon that has the same shade properties but has an IR (Inferred) heat rejection layer which shares similar properties of the CIR ceramic film line. As with the other auto film offered, Carbon series offers a lifetime warranty for color failure, fading and delamination.
SunTek CIR (ceramic IR) is a true sputtered ceramic film and like other products which require ceramic material, have superior heat transfer properties. The outer layer closest to the outside of the vehicle has a physical sputtered ceramic layer for superior heat transfer, and is an IR heat rated film. Which also reduces the microwave heat that can be felt by occupants when using a non-IR standard film which offers 99% UV protection from the brutal sun. This film is the best choice if heat reduction and clarity are your main concern.
Residential and commercial films have been around a bit longer than automotive window films and the options are many when it comes to different window film solutions. The paint needs to be in best optimal condition for the best turnout, so correction of the paint may be necessary. There are limits to what can be accomplished with the paint, so nicks and deep scratches need to be taken to a paint shop in some cases before the application for a better than factory finish.
